The sixth Evolution Ag store opened Monday just outside Delaware County and is the company’s biggest location yet.
Construction on the location began three years ago, according to Doug Loudenslager, the principal officer and one of the co-owners of Evolution Ag LLC.
Loudenslager said the new location, located at the intersection between U.S. 42 and Jerome Road, just a few miles outside Delaware County, was constructed because the company had outgrown its other Delaware location and couldn’t do everything they wanted in that facility. The other store remains open.
“It was a big investment,” Loudenslager said. “But we felt it was necessary and we are excited for the opportunity to serve agriculture market and homeowners.”
The location is 45,000 square feet and can service any piece of farm or lawn equipment, no matter the size.
The new store also serves as a training area and retailer for Case IH agricultural equipment but also sells MacDon, Gerringhof, Great Plains, Gravely, Coyote and Grasshopper.
Loudenslager said one of his favorite features of the new location is the 250-plus agricultural equipment toys on display. Loudenslager said the display is just a portion of the collection kept by his father, who passed away last year.
“He would have been happy to see it,” Loudenslager said.
The store is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.

There will be a ribbon-cutting Aug. 17 but the new store is open for business now.
