Trevor Zahara has been an usher at the Ohio State University Stadium — aka The Shoe — for 18 years.
On Friday, Oct. 23, Zahara will be at the Big Walnut Grill in Sunbury for a tailgate party to celebrate the Buckeyes’ 2015 football season, and share his “Confessions of an OSU Usher” presentation.
For the past three years, he has researched and written a book about the experiences of OSU ushers he has known.
“Confessions of an OSU Usher” was three years in the making before it was self-published 10 months ago with help from a Kickstarter campaign.
“The Ohio Stadium Ushers are some of the Buckeyes’ most committed people and the book reveals some of the most humorous, unusual and captivating experiences of this very dedicated group,” Zahara said. “’Confessions of an OSU Usher’ highlights all the humorous, interesting and wonderful inside stories from the most famous stadium in the country.”
For the past 10 months, Zahara has been touring libraries, schools, social organizations and alumni associations with a 40-minute PowerPoint presentation with videos and a trivia contest, and he’s coming to Sunbury.
The evening includes a 5 to 7 p.m. happy hour. Zahara’s presentation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Karaoke takes over at 7:30.
Seating is limited. RSVP Trevor Zahara at [email protected] or call 614-746-6412.
Zahara, a Westerville resident and OSU graduate, is a professional speaker who has been featured on TV’s Good Day Columbus, CBS Radio’s Stiller Project, and in numerous magazine and newspaper articles.
