Buckeye Valley’s bowling teams rolled to a pair of wins Monday, both getting the better of North Union.
The boys, who won 2,114-1,873, were led by Jimmy Davis. Davis had games of 211 and 216 for a 427 series.
“The boys kept their perfect season going,” BV coach Madonna Wells said. “These boys just seem to pick each other up when needed.”
Other Baron contributors included Nick Cooper, who had games of 188 and 214; Leo Wells, who finished with efforts of 186 and 130; and Spencer Milligan, who had a 180.
The girls, who beat the Wildcats 1,924-1,595, were boosted by Morgan Stuart’s 492 series (games of 258 and 234).
“Morgan has carried the team all season … and tonight was no different,” Wells said. “She is on fire, and just keeps hitting the pocket.”
Other BV standouts included Carly Kelley, who had games of 157 and 163; Sydney Lenart, who finished with games of 102 and 150; Tara McClure, who had games of 160 and 111; and Fiona Tseng, who closed with games of 165 and 117.
The Barons return to action Thursday against host Jonathan Alder.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Delaware Christian had its way with host Gahanna Christian Monday, winning 58-6.
The Eagles led 11-2 after the first quarter and, after a 16-0 second quarter, owned a commanding 27-2 lead at the break.
Erin McCullough led the way with 11 points, five steals and four assists while Brianna Blackburn added 10 points and seven rebounds.
Other DCS standouts included Caitlyn Ruminski (seven points), Anna Fuller (four points, five rebounds) and Makayla Gill (five rebounds, three steals).
The Eagles are back at it Saturday against visiting Ridgedale. Tip is set for 2 p.m.
