To the editor:

It was a sad day when Buehler’s market announced they were closing their doors. I had shopped there for as long as they were in Delaware.

However, there was no mention made about an important department within their store that probably had more effect on the Delaware community, and that was the Ritzman Pharmacy. They provided an important service to many people; most importantly, many elderly persons relied on them for help. The pharmacists and their aides knew them by face and name.

Now those seniors will have to go to the nearby CVS Pharmacy. No doubt, in time, CVS will achieve that same level of trust but, until then, we need to thank Ritzman for being there when they were needed. I, for one, miss all of you. Thank you.
