Delaware County economic development director Bob Lamb has been listed in Columbus Business First’s “Forty Under 40” class of 2016.
The annual award program by the business publication recognizes rising professionals and business leaders from the area who already are making a mark in their fields while still under the age of 40.
Lamb, 34, was tapped to fill the Delaware County post last August. He came to the county from the city of Upper Arlington, where he had served as community and economic development manager. Before that, he was the economic development administrator for the city of Glendale, Arizona.
Lamb earned his undergraduate degree in history from Bowling Green State University and a joint master’s degree in urban planning and law degree from Cleveland State University and Cleveland-Marshall School of Law. Lamb and his wife, Krystina, are expecting their first child this summer.
“It’s an honor to be included in the 2016 Forty Under 40 class,” Lamb said, “but it’s also great to see Delaware County included. We’re a part of the bigger picture here in central Ohio and honors like this make that clear.”
During his time with Delaware County, Lamb has launched an economic-development strategic plan study and a business-retention study, both of which should be complete by the end of 2016.
According to Columbus Business First, more than 240 nominations were received for this year’s contest. The honorees will be recognized at a May 24 event at Hollywood Casino Columbus and will be featured in the May 27 issue of the publication.
Another member of Lamb’s class is Angie Lewis, daughter-in-law of Delaware County Commissioner Barb Lewis and a director at the accounting firm Crowe Horwath.
