First Friday in December has a special place in children’s hearts because it’s the night the Christmas tree is lit that sits on the southwest corner of Sandusky Street and William Street in downtown Delaware. Before the tree was lit later in the evening Ava and her brother Aiden take a look at the large ornaments that adorn the tree.
The air had a stiff chill in it for last nights December First Friday in downtown Delaware. Warming up next to the fire place sitting outside on the patio of Amoto’s is Derek and Amy Weinrich who had moved to Delaware in the spring. Later in the evening the Christmas tree that sits next to Amoto’s was lit for the first time this year.
