Delaware police report:

A suspicious vehicle was reported in the area of Woodward Elementary School on Sunday just before 12:30 a.m. Police found a man passed out behind the wheel of a car parked in a parking lot. Upon making contact with him, they found he was intoxicated. He was charged with disorderly conduct via intoxication and taken to the Delaware City Jail.

The owner of a business on Spring Street contacted police to report illegal dumping Sunday afternoon. The owner reported that an unknown male was dumping trash into his store’s dumpster without permission. Officers obtained identifying information from the dumped trash and were able to contact with a woman living in a nearby apartment. Officers learned the mother told her son to dump the trash in their dumpster and said he must have gotten confused about which dumpster she meant. The boy acknowledged he made a mistake and removed the trash. No charges were filed.

Officers responded to the area of Heritage Boulevard and Presidential Way on Monday just after 2:20 a.m. to investigate the report of a man in a car with a gun. Police spoke to the alleged victim who identified a suspect and told officers that the man threatened her with a gun while he was a passenger in her car. The victim declined to press charges and then would not cooperate with officers on further details. The alleged suspect was contacted and he denied any knowledge of the incident and said he was elsewhere the entire evening. A report was filed and forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review.
