Downtown visitors may have noticed the construction going on at the Bare Bowl.

While the storefront of 6 N. Sandusky St. is being renovated, the ground-floor business located at the building, will remain open as usual.

From the Bare Bowl’s Facebook page, the message said: “While we’re going to look all messy on the outside for awhile, we are keeping our regular hours for the foreseeable future — so keep the creative projects coming.”

The paint-your-own-pottery studio is closed on Mondays, and open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.

The studio usually opens on Mondays during the spring break season, according to one employee. But construction started a few weeks earlier than planned.

Bare Bowl is a grant recipient of the city’s Downtown Facade Program, which matches dollar-for-dollar of an owner’s investment in the appearance of their building’s storefront facade up to a maximum amount of $20,000 per project.

Other recipients in progress include Manos, Martin & Pergram Company and Toujours.

The Bare Bowl is undergoing storefront improvements, which are part of the Downtown Facade Grant program. The studio will remain open with regular hours.
