SUNBURY — Brent Carson will bring his artifact cart filled with items from the past to the Big Walnut Area Historical Society meeting to be held at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 11 in the Myers Inn Museum.

During the meeting, Carson will discuss the items, which are 50 to 150 years old, and share stories of how they were used and how that effected lives.

Carson, who grew up in Delaware, is a retired Delaware school teacher and former head of the Delaware County Historical Society. He still presents programs to adults and school children. A favorite hobby of his is to collect stories from people he meets throughout the county and add them to his varied collection of things and happenings which make up his programs.

He has shared his programs with the BWAHS for many years. Some are available on YouTube by clicking on links found on the BWAHS website at http://BigWalnutHistory.org.

Carson has made several DVDs of his stories. Some are available in the BWAHS Gift Shop.

The October meeting is the first in-person meeting since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Masks are not required but individuals may wear them if they choose.

Reservations are not needed for this meeting. Seating is on a first-come, first-choose basis. Those with questions can email [email protected].
