“Powerful Tools for Caregivers” is a six-week series offered at SourcePoint that helps family caregivers develop tools and strategies to face the challenges of caregiving.
A new series will begin in April, with two sessions available: Mondays from 9 to 10:30 a.m. beginning April 18; and Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m., beginning April 20.
To be eligible for this free series, either the caregiver or the care recipient must reside in Delaware County.
The series will be held at SourcePoint at 800 Cheshire Road in Delaware.
Organizers say that participants will learn how to identify and reduce personal stress; communicate feelings, needs and concerns; communicate in challenging situations; learn from emotions; and master caregiving decisions. Caregivers also will receive a $25 gift card upon completion of the six-week series.
To register, call Sara Stemen at 740-203-2399 by Monday, April 11.
