Start of hunting seasons approach

With September just around the corner, so are several of Ohio’s most popular hunting seasons, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife. In early September, Ohioans begin hunting squirrels, doves, and some waterfowl. Deer hunting begins soon, as well.

Commissioners renew rollback of property tax

The Delaware County Board of Commissioners on Monday voted to renew a 0.5-mill property tax rollback it originally enacted a year ago. The one-year renewal will provide a total of $6.5 million in tax relief to property owners in the county.

Peace Corps volunteers returning overseas

Delaware resident William Hammett is among the first Peace Corps volunteers to return to overseas service since the agency’s unprecedented global evacuation in March 2020. The Peace Corps suspended global operations and evacuated nearly 7,000 volunteers from more than 60 countries at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
